What is Ulcerative Colitis?
Ulcerative Colitis is an inflammatory bowel disease in which the large intestine, or the colon, becomes inflamed and develops small ulcers, or sores. The sores produced by inflammation can cause irregular and sudden bowel movements, abdominal pain, and pus and/or blood in the stool.
